Microsoft vs. Mac vs. Linux

Ok first of all, all of these systems are great in some way or another, but i have just one thing to settle.

Many believe that Linux is the answer to all of our problems, and that Microsoft is just flat out monopolistic. First of all, Linux may be almost God Like, its hard to learn for some, and hard to install sometimes. Too, many applications that people want do not have Linux support. Thirdly, unless, you are more than experienced with computers, your average user can not fully see the functionality of Linux, and be able to modify code for themselves. Remember not everyone walking on the street knows what open source software license agreements are.

Next Mac, now Mac is an interesting thing. It is elegant and always friendly, oh and has some really cool names like Tiger, and Leopard OSX. Now to the points, since they switched to Intel apple is gaining steam, and fast. Heck, they even have a government contract that is growing from what i read. However, unless your a non conformist, hippie, or are still riding your high from the original apple, or a high ends graphical artist, who is going to want to fork over 3-5 grand for a PC? Face it, apple has control of the multimedia world, Ipod Classic, Ipod Nano, Ipod shuffle, and now Ipod Touch. Not to mention oh a little phone they call "the jesus phone" floating around. Steve Jobs is a ninja face it , he owns all at marketing, and design. He and the teams at apple are top notch at bringing you tomorrow's technology today.

Finally, a name everyone knows Microsoft. The owners of the OS monopoly, wait no those are illegal, the markets majority share holder, MS. This Redmond giant, has not created a monopoly they have created an empire. Now they are not merciless rulers if you think about it. Despite how much we complain about it "just being windows" or why did this happen "because its gay and its windows" what OS are you running right now? I happily say i'm running XP Pro, not vista. Every companies software is compatible with it. Plus not to mention, XP Pro, is easy to network, and hence why it is all over. Then you take in to account that most know how to run a version of windows, so it is familiar territory to almost every man woman and child. Despite there faults, you can not pick on them as much as you would like. They have brought computers to life for common folk and made our lives easier, better, and functional.

Take your pick, leave your comments, lets keep this alive!
